Harold Miller & his Mooney Mite

Between 1948 and 1952, Harold Miller worked at an oil refinery in Aruba.  There, he met his wife, Mary Alice.  All pictures below were taken in Aruba.  Before his brand new Mooney Mite arrived, he built a hangar.  Later, he put his new "bird" together and took it for its first flight.

Hangar construction continues

The back of the hangar is getting completed.

His brand new 1950 Mooney Mite arrives in crates.  The wings arrive in one crate and the fuselage in another. Cost - $1795 - Delivered to Aruba- $2200.

Wings and fuselage have been attached.  The model is an M18L (Lycoming) with a 65 hp.
