51st Anniversary Fly-in – Pearson Airport
Welcome to our 51st Anniversary Fly-in at Pearson Airport. This was the home of our very first fly-in. We return home again to Vancouver! We thank you so much for joining us for this event. The following is the information you’ll need to make your stay informative & enjoyable.
TO ENSURE THE FLY-IN CONTINUES AT PEARSON, PLEASE BE COMPLETELY FAMILIAR WITH SURROUNDING AIRSPACE REGULATIONS
If you plan on being judged, please put a colored dot (included in packet) on your prop tag and hang it on your prop no later than NOON ON SATURDAY!
Below is what is included in the pilot packet:
Pilot information sheet, prop tag, colored judging dot, airport lay-out, wrist band and membership form.

Friday, August 20th
5 pm – 7 pm – Spaghetti dinner - $10 per person. Dinner includes pasta (choice of 2 sauces), salad, bread and drinks. It is located in the hangar immediately south of the Pearson museum. There will be a Dixieland band “Earthquake Ethels” performing during dinner.
Saturday, August 21st
7 am – 11 am – Pancake Breakfast - $7 per person. Breakfast includes pancakes, eggs, sausage & drinks. Orange juice is 50 cents extra. Breakfast is located in the hangar immediately south of the Pearson museum.
8 am – IMPORTANT PILOT BRIEFING in area immediately west of the Pearson museum. Briefing will be given by Willy Williamson, Airport manager. Please plan on attending. All arrivals & departures must go smoothly if we are to continue to host this event at Pearson.
2 pm & 4 pm - Park Service Volunteers will provide a presentation/tour of the Spruce Trail immediately west of the field. Signs will be posted.
3:30 pm - 4:30 pm - Car show by Concours d'Elegance will be featured on the field.
6 pm – Awards Banquet & music. There are only 125 tickets available for sale for the awards banquet. The banquet will be in the hangar immediately south of the Pearson museum. Cost is $15 per person. Following the awards presentation, awards will be given with karaoke entertainment following.
Sunday, August 22nd
7 am – 10 am – Breakfast - Biscuits & gravy with drinks - $4
7:30 am – 8 am – Non denominational church service in front of the Pearson museum.
